It was argued by some that Playboy as first published in 1953 demonstrated the fulfillment of a message in Revelations.  A sense of stagnation in terms of technological utilization ensued following its publication. Some say the scrapping of the Valkyire XB70 test plane(50 years after the Wright brothers) is evidence of this in addition to the refusal to develop and utilize a take off and re-entry space vehicle. It was argued that the Valkyire and its technology could be used for space flight, commercial airlines and for the other proposed purposes.

It was a stagnation(Romans 1) that may have led to a sort of desolation of the soul if it wasn't for the work of missionaries and preachers every day encouraging salt and light. At any given moment, the goal is to "...strengthen what remains and is about to die", the preacher said.  Watch the book of Eli or the Road Warrior to remind yourself about the genius of anger.  There is always community, need and an effort to supply it but it takes community to maintain community and civilization. Mars is quite a dead and desolate planet but for a living planet to become like Mars in spite of our human ingenuity and due to an under-utilization of environment-preserving technology would be absolutely definitive evidence of a collective anger toward and hatred for all life and living things. Enjoy a Mars bar though.  I'm going to get an ice-cream Mars bar right now.
