War really could not be good for the civic health of a nation unless, in 1932,  the civic health of the nation needed some black tea and coffee to pay attention to what their angry brother was doing across the pond with really impressive mass produced Hugo Boss suits and shirts and efficient Volkswagen Beetles. War places a great demand on human resources and on potatoes and semtex; right?
