Maleficent was a  white Jamaican woman who could not have children and who could not appreciate the peace of Isaiah 54. She became  a spoiler who also depreciated the God-given beauty of her mixed race ancestry.  Also, she could not see the message of equality in the media. While Dexter is a white guy and the drug dealing school teacher is also white, she hated negative roles for black men but would also throw out a picture of her black grandfather everytime she saw such roles.
