Improvement in information technology to convey media should not be commensurate to extensions of God's grace in your  personal and private life. Your mind is your temple.   Psalms 101 is the movie goers psalm. It is in the usual course that you will have companions and various associations.  This is a good thing.  Coffee for drinking is conceptually a good thing.  However, if you refuse to continue to drink coffee that is cold or unfiltered then who is to question your intention. You are not refusing coffee as a concept but coffee that is bitter or cold.  In the same light, you can choose to refrain from companionship with someone who has become unusually bitter or cold for no legitimate or rational reason. They may ask you how you let go of a cup of that coffee when the label is really sexy.  They can drink the bitter, abusive cup if they choose.  That is self-abusive.   With respect to companionship, it is good to enjoy what God has designed a man and woman to enjoy and within the boundaries He has provided. You can also listen to the salsa and also the gospel you want. Marriage is sacred  whether you  have a ceremony or not. It is official with or without a ceremony. See Matthew 5.The sacredness is public and private but maintained primarily by what happens in private.  Divorce is also official. It exists by what is said in public in spite of the sacredness maintained in public.  Take a trip and be each other's best friend. Avoid voices of division and discord in certain print or visual media outlets.  It is tempting to favor acceptance from a group  or the hive over acceptance from those within your household who helped you with your project last night or put your ice skating trophy shelf together for you. Group acceptance is certainly important but is everyone in the group as fortunate to have a wife or husband like you? This is life long enjoyment as God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  You will not need to change yourself physically or emotionally as you respect the fact that He does not change Himself.
