The dream.

There is a great deal of discussion about dreams. This would also include the American Dream.  What is it? Is it lost in the hands of those hired to safeguard it? Is the dream a vehicle for attainment of human potential? Are there any other societies that speak of a dream? Can a private club, not governed by legislation and rules, circumvent dreams and the laws upon which the dream is based? France has a motto but I am not sure if they dreams. They might have enforcement and attainment although the frailty of humanity can be such a drag sometimes.  The virtue of a game of chess, monopoly or backgammon or scrabble  is that anybody can win. But, a private club that wishes to create a vacuum in the rules of the manufacturers' games designed for the people's enjoyment has put one's vanity in place of all  of the various virtues for which a liberal education is provided. Life is too short for that type of vanity, ego and abuse on mass.  Hoover did not enjoy public speaking but wanted power and attention. It is suggested in a recent docu-drama. The hope is that the rules are not lost in the hands of the egos of those individuals who are hired to safeguard the belief that you can believe in rules and attain a result as taught in a traditional liberal or conservative education. I am not sure why they call it liberal or something else since an education is just based on facts and figures. Government Economic policy( Communist or Capitalist) is a separate discussion for the experts.  I have not seen the vacuum in a board game of scrabble yet but it might exist when someone's ego cannot accept the result as provided in the rules. Their intention and their maturity is quite clear.  They might want to simply do what they want when they want to do it.   It is hard to abide that person in a grade three class or in an academic high school class for university preparation.      There is no "stand your ground" law in the military. If you kill a  fellow soldier, usual federal jurisprudence applies in addition to military justice depending on the circumstances. Is it possible that a soldier can use "stand your ground" laws to avoid culpability in one or several jurisdictions? It should not be possible lest people from Maine, Boston or Michigan take "stand your ground" family vacations. Moreover, will a "stand your ground" defence cover the causal offence of assault or burglary as committed by the person who seeks the defence?  Hoover may have benefited from the Dagobah planet scene in StarWars where the mask explodes and the protagonist sees his own face. He was a cross dresser. The irony about America is the promise that one shall have the  right to dream and the continual celebration of a process and a system that enables dreaming, of big spaces and of just "big". Taiwan has dreams as well but it is a small country or protectorate. In fact, it is also likely that it has more cash. But, it's not as big though. I'm sure they have dreams as well at night. Big B2's and big slurpees should be married to big universal health and big safety; the drive to uh Target and Kroger should be just as safe statistically in any country especially if the key motive of a certain country's existence is just the notion of "big."  The drive to any store should be just as safe as a trip to www.amazon.com  or almost as safe comparably. "Amazon" is the name of a wild jungle where a 911 call will not do anyone a lot of good. But, we need that jungle in Brazil; not in any country with a massive pre-existing infrastructure with several roads and educational systems geared to uh higher uh learning.
