The Asians say the Americans must all be on cocaine with their headbags; the American cuts off American head during drugged negotiations and put head in bag and you have fewer new car sales and Maytag sales.  The Russians had a weak internal market for many years in spite of the economic wisdom behind communism simply because they eschewed consumerism and mass consumption but mass consumption generates government sales tax income in the billions and trillions and when the Russians' traditional consumers of oil and gas started buying from OPEC as OPEC under bid Russia; hence the dependence on national exports of raw materials was not enough to pay for the social welfare system. There is nothing wrong with such a system as it works in smaller countries like Sweden with participatory remuneration. America needs to do business like a Swede!
