Laïcité is a core concept in the French constitution, Article 1 of which formally states that France is a secular republic ("La France est une République indivisible, laïque, démocratique et sociale.")

The beauty of Laicite is that it puts aside arguments about spiritual authority and works to encourage a mutually beneficial environment that is conducive to commerce and commodious living. Do you understand?   We are children of Abraham. Some wear Hijabs, some wear nail polish, some wear long male gowns and some wear Daniel Hechter or Strellson.

There is nothing that gets more attention than a nuclear fission bomb.  There is nothing that gets more attention than a human being or a society that is manifesting a racial or religious fission in a living self destruction that is running itself to some kind of quiet but obvious defeat but an eventual submission to the truth.  We can all get along with a principle that says there is one rule for all; one rule to bind them. There is one rule for all; one rule of respect for humanity and human dignity to bind them.
