There is talk of Amazon opening fulfillment stores with coffee shops serving Brazilian coffee. The stores are franchises situated in good proximity to dispatch/ fulfillment warehouses where the Amazon consumer saves about 5 percent on any order or about $3.00 on the delivery cost if he picks up his gift/purchase at the Amazon store.  This is to make up for a shrinking retail environment and several closed small specialty stores or gadget retailers as reported in the news.  The Amazon effect is reminiscent of the Sears Roebuck effect (many closed shoe, dress and candle stick makers) at the turn of the 20th century that led to the Anti-Trust Laws in the U.S. that are still on the legislative books today.
