So, the children of Abraham in these special discount days need to know that they are the children of Keturah, Hagar and Sarah whose son is Isaac. As Abraham's children, they are all children of promise but need to be children of agreement. There will always be scripture and some of it may suffer misconception due to genuine efforts in translation but the essence remains. The ten commandments confirm the essence; that we shall love the lord thy God with all our heart, mind, body and soul and love our neighbors as our selves and this cannot be achieved without confession in our failure to achieve the simple task of love. We must accept that we have fallen short every day knowingly and unknowingly; consciously and unconsciously. You could say that you are perfect but don't you use a toilet? Don't you burp? In being children of Abraham, remember two things in understanding how he became the teacher and father called Abraham: 1. He never put anything God gave or promised above his relationship with God; He saved life and sought to save Lot as this is what God desired to see in Abraham's character.
In an evil world, you need to inform yourself of the light in the word of God and understand why Yeshua had to argue with people who were reading it but somehow spiritually deaf in digesting it. They must have thought being a child of Abraham meant putting on a costume called "Jew" as they were foreigners and foreign children who desired it but must have carried a resentment or anger in intention that prevented them from entering in. Paul the apostle is indicative of this deafness and also the miraculous opening of his understanding once he entered relationship in confession for his killing in an evil zealousness that God did not require. He met the bread of life; Yeshua. He met the ten commandments. He met confession on the Damascus Road. He met rest and relaxation in salvation.
God creates life and does not destroy enjoy its destruction but if destroying life will preserve it in the long term, then God is in control.
