Remembering the cross and telling your children that you admire their strength...

A young man recalled the horrible experience of being abused by 11 men; one after the other. It was a horrid right of passage practiced on farmer's children in the colonial West Indies, India and Africa; some say. It was the method of ensuring that your son would be thankful for farm chores and would not impregnate the whole entire town because the farmer's kids are usually biggg after being kicked by that royal donkey; right?  It was the type of overt breach of common law principles that everyone was aware of but no one stopped this horrid abuse of human potential and capital; just evil. The preceding generation was afraid that the old ways and pains might pass away if not passed on and who could stand to see a happy human enjoying more enlightened liberties and civil society? It just feels sort of soft.

If you survived it without killing your children after desiring to have them and also a wife, you were potentially a saint and also, most likely, a very abusive father while you continue to struggle and carry  the burden of the anger on your own. There are only two paths; forgiveness and anger.  If you commit to forgiving, then the Lord helps and carries the burden. Just commit and ask for help. A white pastor preaches about this every Sunday some where and he mentions love a lot. Black pastors are taught by white pastors about the power of forgiveness and sometimes they teach each other since the capacity to love and forgive and to enjoy what that is does not involve anything but soul and spirit like a Michael Mcdonald or Sinead O' Connor top ten hit.

You may be an heir of a large fortune so this will simplify your faith needs.  You will only need to seek the Lord for peace and also the wisdom on how to manage the blessing given to you and your other siblings maybe. But, peace is precious and you will save bus fare money or big sports car cash on the money you pocket in enjoying peace free of all those drugs you used to take to avoid the bubbling anger in your soul toward that Grandparent who wanted to know if you wanted to !#!#@$!$ him some day and used his golf club to see if you would always uh respect him.  You tell your children that you admire their strength but they decided a long time ago that the only victims in this world are those who thought the gift of breathing was about their sullen egos and their need to feel better and bigger than other people. But, the strength comes from the quiet faith of being thankful since, in spite of their forgiveness for your continual anger and thieving in family business affairs, they have chosen to forgive and to trust that you will stop abusing and realize that you made your children masters of forgiveness.  The point is that there are 1000's of men in 100's of towns who may have suffered the same experience and some have lived very happy and faithful lives doing one thing; remembering the cross. Christ forgave while in the garden of Gethsemane, He forgave while being put on the cross and He forgave while being taken down.  He forgave as He rose again.  He did not run to Egypt or Greece and He could have done that as He witnessed the duplicity of the right in Judas' eyes and the fear of the loss of acceptance in His disciples.  This had nothing to do with culture but what was right and wrong with respect to children and humans in all societies; regardless of race.
