Do you think Jesus was a aware of Joseph of Egypt's experience? How many more potential relatives did Jesus have in comparison to Joseph? Isn't Joseph a direct Great grandson of Abraham? Didn't Abraham receive a promise about a lot of children but he only had one? Why would any of his children or great grand children kill one of his great grand children? How can Abraham prepare his children for unnecessary feelings of competition over approval and acceptance when everybody wants to hover around their father's dead body for attention and approval in a family of 300 children? Abraham, in fact, did have a lot of children. Jesus had the answer and so did David who is also a direct descendent of Abraham. Whose approval shall you seek? Read Psalms 82. I think this is what they meant so that you could walk purposefully as salt or light in some chosen profession. Abel probably figured it out and sought some direct inspiration( he put a garnish on the plate using a slice of orange and a sprig of coriander on a bed of lettuce-so pretty beside the rack of lambs)while Cain read the old instructions given to his father by God. Read Psalms 50, Mark 3, Revelations 3, John 5, 1st Corinthians 3:6-7 and Romans 8:17. In more modern parlance that does not feel so biblical although the message is the same, read desiderata.
New!Clean Pure Christlike energy to move 1063 pounds of bricks in one sheer movement using the power of a man's back or horses requires energy. That is all!Abraham had no four wheel engined vehicle but he had faith and common sense to do whatever God demanded of him in a way that was efficient and respectful to all of God's creation of which he was a part.Abraham also had no written law; also true for Joseph or Jacob or Moses when Moses crossed the red sea.All posts are authored by Warren A.Lyon.
