They tried to get you with a free gift... again!
I heard a Pastor say that the greatest issue in understanding the notion of a personal relationship is that it is personal. Personal means conversation and conversation takes place by communicating. You can't converse with an inanimate object; well, you could but someone might think you are missing a slice or two of bread in the bread box. Observe conversations in the word of God. Hannah in the bible had faith in the bible for both a husband and a child. But, you have only a child so what did you really want? Hannah prayed and received. Read about Jonah and his conversation. Read about Jabez and his conversation. Read about Mary and how she received. Read about Moses. It's called prayer and the old Pastor said you can envision yourself relating to a great Grandmother(Shekinah glory) or Father( Jehovah) that wants the very best and speaks to what is referred to as your conscience where you pick up your cross, deny yourself and follow Him. The great grandparent analogy will help. See Proverbs 3:5-6. You know the feeling you get when your great grandparent wants you to bring the bread and milk home on time with the change or receipt. You seek their heavenly acceptance; not the earthly acceptance and honor of your neighbour. Read John 5. Try a free lotto online some time. Don't be so hard on yourself and take only the free prizes that satisfy your conscience since you might be attacked with more than the free gadgets offered for free. Some of the free prizes might be a debt to your conscience since your mind is your temple. Read 1st John 1:9.
