There was a father from Hobo-ken who thought he was the son of Cab Calloway.  He might have been and claimed it quite a lot.  But, unlike Cab, he never wrote any exams but sucked a big carrot or the carrot bag to graduate. He put a lot of pressure on his children to perform academically though.  But, he did not have any right to demand anything except only in the context of a well meaning father. However, he could not demand an A+ versus a B-  while threatening to kill them for anything less than what he thought would earn him social approval since he never really graduated and everybody knows this. His nickname was "Loathing."  He was quite abusive in hiding the reality of his academic background, antecedents and performance.  He actually used his children's academic work but was reduced to sucking to graduate.  After he use their work, he hoped to kill the child whose work he used and to use the child's name in public as his own.  The schools where he purported to be a graduate deleted soon enough since he was not a real graduate.  The father from Hoboken really believed he was a spiritual child of Hitler or the devil and his behavior that amounted to a  false hope for perfection in light of evident self rejection made his ancestry questionable. But, he hid behind the fame of Calloway as best as he could.
