In the early 1940's, possibly earlier, a lot of women in the western world decided to redress the marital relationship and the reality of aging. The celebration of image left many wondering if they could maintain their husband's affection. But, everyone has gotten over that now with birth control and various health products that do sterilize unwittingly and illegally. They would go to discreet salons and find their coital outlet in the guise of beauty maintenance including sun tanning. They would quite often decide that they were not as desirable for some reason, maybe because of the imaging in the magazines, and would deliberately age themselves to see if their husband loved them for their beauty and youth or their personality. Most men stay with one woman out of simple wisdom and hopefully the woman is relatively pleasant. They do not cheat.
